McKenna graduated college with a degree in English Literature so naturally began her career at Coatue, a tech focused hedge fund. There, she helped the fund grow from managing $500 million to $9 billion in assets. A glutton for punishment, McKenna transitioned to the startup world where she led the People function at Cruise from 20 to 1,200 people and then at Plaid from 180 to 800 people.

She’s passionate about helping companies get real leverage out of the people function so that their businesses and cultures scale successfully. She takes calls about this stuff over at Theory Z Consulting.

She's a mediocre cook, proud Mom, and widely known for being the funniest of the Quints.

Jamie has 15 years of experience as one of the foremost/leading product growth practitioners in the valley. He is an engineer by training, and started his career as a startup founder, joining one of the first few Y Combinator cohorts in 2008. Since then, he has consulted on growth at breakout companies such as Twitch, Everlane, Mercury, and Substack. He has worked as a senior executive at Notion and Reddit, leading both growth and revenue.

Jamie helps portfolio companies with product focused growth, product strategy, product hiring, metrics infrastructure, performance marketing, lifecycle marketing, and more.

He is a proficient cook specializing in Sichuan food, and speaks Chinese at the level of a very eloquent toddler.
